| We are located at Lake Vallecito 25 miles from Durango or 18 miles from the junction of Hwy 160 and CR 502 in Bayfield at an elevation of 8,012 feet.
The Blue Spruce RV Park and Cabins borders the San Juan National Forest and Weminuche Wilderness Area. There is a lot of great hiking on the Vallecito Creek trail, Pine River trail, Lake trail (1/2 mile away) or right out of the park. Fishing is fantastic year-round in the lake or nearby streams and rivers. There are lots of attractions to see and things to do in the Durango and Four Corners area, such as the Silverton/Durango Narrow-Gauge Train, rafting the Animas River, and the historic downtown Durango area.
The local Vallecito attractions are: horseback riding, marinas, hiking, fishing, touring the Forest Service roads and just enjoying the cool temperatures and mountain scenery.
Our events hall at Blue Spruce is a log building, 22 ft. by 70 ft., and has a fireplace, kitchen and ample tables and chairs. The covered outdoor pavilion is 30 ft. by 40 ft. and situated up against a rocky wall. Both are great for family reunions, weddings and retreats.
Our RV sites are shaded and the cabins are completely furnished. |
